  • After frigid winter, cranks right up!

The '51 has been sitting outside under a cover since late October. It took a few actions on the fuel pump, a few cranks on the starter and more than a few on the accelerator pump but this six-volt sprang to life; and the battery had not been disconnected nor under trickle charge. Picked up several friends and went to have a nice dinner at a local Thai restaurant.Click image for larger version

Yep, I have the same good luck with my 6 volt batteries. The one in my 1928 Model A and the one in my 1950 Champion are both over 10 years old and still cranking fine.

Your 1951 looks way too nice to be outside under a cover. Even one of those metal shelters for under $1000 would be a nice addition.
