counterfeit Studebaker El Camino

Looks like more research is required to get the real story that Hemmings did not.
I know we have seen several of these before, or this one really gets around in several colors! This can't be a one off, one of a kind.
There would have to be a Co. making these custom extra wide Fiberglass front ends, rear fenders etc. to fit the El Camino Body and that dash does not look Chevy. to me, that would be a lot of tooling out there somewhere to "mass" produce (well maybe more like "Limited Produce" these parts).
The only thing Studebaker is the Side Grilles, Center Bullet and Headlight Rims. They look like real reconditioned/re-plated Stude. Parts.
Unfortunately, the end result is not that pretty, maybe they should have used a much older El Camino.StudeRich

50 front. Headlight rims look real also. These have been around for several years. Some look very good.Don Wilson, Centralia, WA

At least unlike counterfeit money, no one will mistake this for "the real thing".
There used to be one around here, I haven't seen if for a year or two. Probably in Canada or hiding in a barn somewhere.63 Avanti R1 2788

Why choose disparaging words?
Kind of sad for an enthusiast forum.HTIH (Hope The Info Helps)
