Looks good, I'd drive it but as we all know that's not a 51 front.

I really like the color combo.

Looks like more research is required to get the real story that Hemmings did not.

I know we have seen several of these before, or this one really gets around in several colors! This can't be a one off, one of a kind.

There would have to be a Co. making these custom extra wide Fiberglass front ends, rear fenders etc. to fit the El Camino Body and that dash does not look Chevy. to me, that would be a lot of tooling out there somewhere to "mass" produce (well maybe more like "Limited Produce" these parts).
The only thing Studebaker is the Side Grilles, Center Bullet and Headlight Rims. They look like real reconditioned/re-plated Stude. Parts.

Unfortunately, the end result is not that pretty, maybe they should have used a much older El Camino.

          I don't know what's 'counterfeit' about it.

?Well, except for the paint job and red interior, I kinda like it. Though I would much rather have bumpers of some kind on it.

50 front. Headlight rims look real also. These have been around for several years. Some look very good.

At least unlike counterfeit money, no one will mistake this for "the real thing".

There used to be one around here, I haven't seen if for a year or two. Probably in Canada or hiding in a barn somewhere.

                        Why choose disparaging words?
Kind of sad for an enthusiast forum.

Vast improvement over a regular ol' ElCamino.

Calvin Lowell (OldCarFart) always wanted to build one of these kits on a station wagon platform..

I saw one built on a full size Chevy wagon in Daytona at the Turkey Run a few years back. Didn't particularly care for it,but I LIKE the Studemino!
