  • Engine: Dip stick length on M16

My stick shows a high level after changing the oil . The shop manual says 6 quarts so that is what I put in . I'M THINKING MAYBE I HAVE THE WRONG STICK . COULD SOMEONE TELL ME THE PROPER LENGTH OF THE STICK I SHOULD HAVE?

199300 is the part number shown for the oil pan depth I have .
I went to a Stude meet in Mobile Al. today but no luck with the vendors there . The weather was rainy and probable kept the attendance down .
