Hello Forum. My father left me his old 63 Avanti R1 289 V8 with 65K miles and the local hot rod shop has been doing some work to stop leaks. They changed the oil last season with Amsoil Z-rod 10-30 (synthetic) for high zinc content. I now noticed a leak between the motor and trans mission housing that may or may not have been there before. I wonder if changing to synthetic has something to do with it. I have no idea what oil dad ran in it before and looking for recommendation of what to do now. Should I go back to non-synthetic, use different brand or just monitor the leak for awhile?
