  • Cool/Heat: 55 stock fan

289 transplanted in. Should I use a spacer. It's about 1 inch. I also have a five blade fan. Each a the 5 blades are riveted on. What did this 5 blade come on originally? Should I use it instead?

Six blade Fans were H.D. option for hot climates or A/C, very heavy blades with more curve and no Viscous drive.

The only Studebaker 5 Blade fans I have seen were all for the Viscous Drive so they do not fit on the water pump.

You are going to have to find one that will fit your Shroud, unless modified, a 6 Cyl. Shroud will not work it is too far to one side, you will find that a Commander one will fit.

Your Blades should be 1/2 in the Shroud and 1/2 Out of it, if a spacer is required to get it there use it.
