Transmission / Overdrive: First Gear Starts in a Powershift?

Is it possible to make a change or modify a '63 Powershift automatic transmission to start off in first gear and not in second?

Yes, it was around in print years ago. It involved converting to a Ford valve-body as best I recall now. Surely, someone will still have the instructions around or perhaps you can find them yourself online.
