  • One never knows what might be shipped out of the country

The other day while at the overseas shipper warehouse I took these pictures of a couple of Studebaker's going out of the country, one never knows what might be leaving now days.

I wonder of Bob Coolidge is familiar with Mefford Murphy Vintage Racing?

The 1953 Starlight has Commander V8s on the quarters and a Champion dash.

A local Stude guy sold a 53 body to someone for the La Carrera Panamerica to replace his wrecked car. I dont know if this is it or not but the car was basically a mixed bag of parts, perfect to build a racecar from. Steve

Stu: I am not familiar with this one. I think the response by Steve states the facts for this car well.

That rusty Weasel looks almost like the one at Dover last year.

I just saw that 53 PanAmerica racer last week and got to hear it run. It is powered by a souped up Stude 289 and sounds nasty. It is on the way to Germany where the new owner plans to rally race it. The seller/builder lives near Sacramento. He has other Studes as well and I am recruiting him for our Chapter.

This thread is an excellent example of just what a small Studebaker world we live in.
