  • A '55 for Leonard. (big pic)

Leonard, you were asking me if I took any pictures of 1955 K's in South Bend in '83. Here is one I found!!

Nice pic as usual Craig, what are the chances that TWO count em (2) White '61 Hawks would show up at the same International Meet both with Dealer or owner applied RED fin stripes! That's unusual!

There are lots of them painted Blue, or Black and Jack Merrill (RIP) from up here in the Northwest had his painted yellow, almost as bright as a '55 Speedster and he had Green stripes on his. Every now and then you see ONE show up with a custom Red stripe instead of the original bone (biege) color, but never TWO!

Beautiful car and beautiful color combination. Boy, I'd give my eye teeth for that car------and a few bucks too.

After the passing of 24 years, I wonder how the car looks today? It sure is gorgeous in Craig's picture.

That is pretty. And I LIKE the gaudy 55s, to be sure. But as "fancy" as that car is, what a shame that they clutter up it's nose with those fog lites and bumper guards![8]
