  • 1956 Flight Hawk Production info

I am looking information pertaining to the production of a 1956 Flight Hawk. Different Studebaker resources suggest that this car was maybe produced at the Los Angeles, CA plant. Does anyone know of any documentation regarding production at the different plants. The serial number is G1374309 Engine Number 1196956.

I have the cars birth certificate from the Studebaker National Museum, but the production record doesn't show which plant it was made at. South Bend IN, Los Angeles CA or Canada?

    Any information would be helpful.

The Studebaker Chassis and Body Parts Catalogs list the Starting Serial Numbers by Factory, in the first few pages, that is the best way to determine which Factory built the Car. That is undoubtedly what info Doug is looking at.
