  • Victor Yordy's step plates

Just got my new stainless step plates in. Now I will get some 3m protective film and apply to help keep them from scratching.
These still have some of the shipping film on.

Can you now verify that the Dots and Lettering ARE sandblasted into the Steel?
I doubt they would be impression stamped as Original, due to tooling cost.

I would think that the Stainless Steel would not be nearly as soft as the OEM Aluminum and easily damaged.

Rich, I think the impression is blasted while a stencil is In place.
I've installed them in three cars and much prefer the stainless over the aluminum. I do put 3m protective film on them before installing. It's fairly easy to apply and prevents them from being scratched. I'm not sure what you mean by "easily damaged". The first Stude I put them in, a 57 Hawk that is driven regularly, they look as good as the day I installed them.
Im putting this set in a 55 coupe.

Thanks, no that sentence my be worded a bit different, but I meant unlike Aluminum that Stainless should not be a problem, it is hard and can be polished, I would not cover it up.
