Cool! A 51 custom two door. And it does not even have the "rare" automatic transmission. Looks like a good deal.
My first Studebaker was a 50 custom two door. It cost $180 with new rings and head gasket. Of course, that was in 1972.RadioRoy, specializing in AM/FM conversions with auxiliary inputs for iPod/satellite/CD player. In the old car radio business since 1985.

Dean.
Note the painted headlight Rims, Painted Tail Light rims, no stainless trim on Windshield or backlight, none around side windows, it would also have the small round Trunk Handle/License Light as well as a very Spartan Interior.StudeRich

If I remember correctly, the Custom was the base model for a few years. One of the identifying features was the painted headlight rims.

Wish it was closer. I'd be there in the morning with cash, but if I drove 800 miles, it would be gone by the time I got there. I've been watching craigslist and ebay the past year for Studebakers, and there have been some really good buys. I've always thought Studebakers were underpriced, especially for being a much more rare and more quality car than the other makes.
