Does anyone know if there was a service bulletin issued when dealers were installing factory A/C in late '63/4 GT's? It seems that the dash needs to be cut near the brake handle so the evaporator will set evenly under the dash. I bought the installation instructions from SDC but there is no mention of cutting the dash. I've looked at several late GT's with factory A/C noting that each dash was cut with a slight curve to enable the evaporator to fit snugly under the dash. I also noticed in the parts book that there is a different part # for the Climatizer/air/heater duct on '64 GT's with A/C. Is it slimmer as to allow the evaporator to tuck closer to the firewall? I know on '64 Lark models you need the narrow duct from a '63 Lark to install the A/C evaporator-otherwise the glove box can't open! Any help is appreciated as I'm trying to finish up the dash to install in the Hawk after the body work is done.
