    ...
This 1965 Studebaker Wagonaire Daytona is a wonderfully original rust free car. These are hard to find in this kind of condition. It's very straight and solid. It runs and drives but needs brake work. It also comes with a sliding roof from the factory. Fresh out of an estate where it had been sitting for over 20 years in dry storage. For only

Nice original car! I notice even the heal pad on the drivers side is the original, along with a great looking interior. Our wagons seem to be gaining value now catching up to the 2 dr. hardtops.

What a nice, original-looking Stude!..I wonder if the transistor ignition pieces (on the right fender skirt) still function?

Really nice looking Wagonaire, but for that money one would think they could have taken it to a shop and had the brake work completed...

Someone help me out with something here. Forgive my spelling, but is that what Laurantain Green looks like?
My '65 was that color when new, and other then a door jamb- I've never seen it.

Actually Dave, it's spelled Laurentian Green. When we were planning color names for the 65 models we decided to give them Canadian-influenced names. In this case, the name Laurentian came from the Laurentian mountains in the Province of Quebec.

Thank you for the correction and information Stu. I knew I had it wrong, but since I do not have any of my literature or the production order for my car with me, I had no way to correct it.

So do you think Laurentian Green is what color we see on that wagon?

I think the Second Tailgate View with the Right Side on the tailgate, shows the best view of what the Color SHOULD look like, all of other views have way too much reflection to get a good look at the Color.

The Door Jambs do match, so it could be the correct
                    Laurentian Green.

My door jamb comments were referring to the jambs on my car Dad. As you know- my paint was rather faded when I bought Sweet Pea in 1991. And after her two repaints as well as several repairs- it's about the only place any of the original paint can be found on my car...

So my question still remains- is the subject wagon the same color?

Dave, although I don't have a set of color chips in my memorabilia, my recollection is that this Wagonaire is Laurentian Green.

To my eye, the '65 color may be just a bit more celery/olive (yellow tinted). But it may also be a case of identical formulation, just "new and improved", poetic name. Studebaker was good at that.
Laurentian Green was more of a 'pea' green and somewhat darker compared to Horizon Green, and was a Spring Color for that year. It replaced Horizon Green.

You're correct Stanwood (Brad) the '65 Color has more yellow and less or no silver than Horizon Green.
