View Full Version : '62 lark front body mounts (needing pics for reference)

There's a bit of rust damage to the front floors of my new (to me) wagon and the floors are starting to slope downward from the trans tunnel down to the front door opening.. i.e the front door sill is about 1.5" lower than the floor at the trans tunnel. The front floor boards are swiss cheese so that may be the issue but I'd like to see some reference pics of some front body mounts to compare mine to to see if they're shot too. I haven't been able to find any on the interwebs anywhere.

Here are two I took today, one with the body mount just placed in position & the other with it removed. This shows how only the floor sheet metal supported the "A" pillar, especially from the floor "donut" mount where the crossmember (batwing) bolted on.

Any chance for a side profile pic? As if you were looking from the front of the car toward the rear?

I'm trying to upload some pics to get some opinions aswell. (Edit) successfully

front body mount looking forward
front body mount damage
and the floor's unlevelness

Opinions on how shot these mounts are? Repair or replace?
