  • Wheel Color for 1953 Commander Coupe

Would one of you gentle person(s) experts tell me if the rims should be painted the Creamy Off White, body color, or what ever? The car is White over Red.

      The main body color.

      As an aside -
There was no true red/white 1953s until the Spring Special. There was Coral Red over Ivory Mist and Monterey Beige over Coral Red. In the Spring, Bombay Red was introduced and it could be had with a Salem White top. Note that this red/white combination only came with Flax vinyl and Monterey Beige metal trim (not Loma Gray).

My '53 Commander came with Coral red wheels to match the body color.

Mine are Manchester Maroon, and were when I bought it thirty-eight years ago.
