However it is a touch odd that the seller didn't just delete the ad.Click image for larger version

Yeah, the seller certainly doesn't have anything to gloat about. It's like: "Hey look everybody, I just screwed myself out of $5000."
He should've pulled the ad out of sheer self respect. Or is that self pity?

What makes you think it is worth $5000.00 or much more that the $500 he was asking? I see it is a 65 Daytona but where is Yucaipa? it also has "Sal"vaged title....

Yucaipa is just east of Redlands & San Bernardino on I-10. I saw the ad & immediately thought the same thing. Too bad I had jury duty today otherwise I might have seen it & grabbed it too!

How do we know it was a 'steal'? There are LOTS of things not shown or given. Is the left rear corner as good as the right front corner in the photo? How about the engine? The engine could be seized for all one knows. It also could have been a car that spent several years in the rustbelt. I would suggest a good look at it in person would be appropriate to say someone concludes it was a fantastic deal.

I'am sure you will find out who bought it as some flipper will soon have it back on craigs list for the $5000 or maybe more.

I would agree that someone "stole that car and is not going to jail for it". Comparing this 1965 to this for 64 Commander sale for $1500 OBO.... someone got a good deal.
