PBS has been running a series of shows devoted to contributors to the modern world, based on Steven Johnson's new book ""How We Got to Now". The installment that will be broadcast on Wednesday evening, November 5 is devoted to "Cold" and reviews the development of refrigeration and air conditioning and their affect on society. The show includes a brief glimpse of an Air Conditioned by Studebaker decal and the under-dash evaporator of a Hawk or Lark. I only saw a preview, so don't know where in the show it appears. They're good shows anyway.
