I've seen some over priced parts before but this one takes the cake. Hard to believe this guy is serious wanting $1500 for this ????

I find that about everything is over priced to me. Went to a swap meet last Saturday, 9 inch Ford rear housing ,no pumpkin, $300 ( I gave $50 for a 9 inch with a posi in it ) . Saw a Chevy Small block cross ram intake with carbs , $750 , ,good many years ago, bought 1 just like it $40 . I know the years change things , but after haven sold a 69 Mustang 428 Cj with shaker hood for $700 , I can't see $35,000 for one . I guess too many good deals when younger to accept where things have gone .

Well, it's Markham, Ontario. Obviously not Stude people. The Canadian housing market has been skewed by wild price jumps in Vancouver and Toronto (of which Markham is a wealthier suburb). The foreign investment in condos and the influx of immigration to those two major cities has really distorted some people's sense of price and value. My little city (and Allen's,too) is just a 40 minute drive and we are feeling the increase in property values. On paper we're wealthy, but we'd have to sell everything and then we'd be homeless and out of a job :)

That fella doesn't have the market cornered on rare Studebaker stuff just yet, here's one in our area.

1500??? I am selling a whole car running and with complete interior on ebay for that much. Apparently I am asking too little.

"Ready for restoration...missing engine and transmission" Missing the engine and transmission doesn't seem very restoration-ready to me :)

He does say best offer, but he put off anyone who just might find a few bits to use on another car. I'd be afraid to offer him what it's worth.

Hey Pat,
Regarding that very rare truck ad, he says you'll need a trailer but no mention of a psychiatrist. Maybe as Lou Van Anne says they need more British Columbia bud.

Wonder if the sellers are related, probably not but they sure think the same.

The remains of a '49-'53 CAB! $3200.00 that really DOES take the cake. All of the value has been stripped from this one already if that rust pile ever had any. Way worse than the '64 Dashboard and seized 6 Cyl. engine for $1500.00. :(

But it does have the optional HEMP (in keeping with the theme) rope retainer on the passenger door.:woot:

If you knew a little bit more about the locale where this truck is, you would realize how true these comments might be!

That car is perfectly restore-able all you need is a engine, transmission, complete interior, battery, wheels, tires, rear end, glass, windshield wipers, tissue dispenser, radiator, 8-track player, hub caps, and ohh yeah a body. GOLLY! I hope he has a title I'm sold!

I've paid $400 for an entire '64 Cruiser before. And it came with an engine!
