  • How many ground straps for Radio Suppression Kits

Hello all. The Radio Suppression Kits list two ground straps. Part number 1540525 and part number 1540721. Are there two straps under the hood? I know one is to ground the oil line. Is there one somewhere else, like grounding the hood? Or, are these numbers in the kit and applicable to different years? Thanks. Nate

Yes, the Hood. The AC or other Part Number of the Kit would lead you to the application info.

The rubber sleeve on the Copper Oil Gauge Line has a 1/2" to 3/4" break in it to fasten the clamp for the braided Copper ground strap, as the instructions should show as well as the Ground locations.

Any pictures of the hood ground strap? I will be needing one and can't seem to find it. In the Radio book, it only mentions the oil line ground, no mention of the hood ground strap.

Here is where you go for Radio Installation help, get the templates and instructions for installing the Radio.
