  • rear end paint

After I took off all the mud, grease and rust, there didn't seem to be any paint on the rear end and axle- was this originally painted?

Also, several of my front end suspension parts and the differential cover had yellow paint marks- didn't look like letters or numbers, just small splashes. Were these factory marks?

When it was new and when it had it's ORIGINAL rear axle, it WAS painted simi-gloss Black. Hard to tell what happened to to it after 50 years![:0]

I have seen yellow paint dots from Dana Spicer that told them something like torqued bolts, Twin Traction, Oil filled or whatever.

We don't do matching date coded Generators, starters and distributors like Corvette or Hemi Cuda guys do, if you want to put the yellow back on it, go for it, but trust me...nobody CARES! You will not gain or lose a single point!
