Accelerator pedal linkage (Auto)

Well, I can't blame this one on the PO.....I don't think I have the accelerator link installed on the throttle shaft correctly. When looking from the side of the car, does the small pedal link curve up or down ? If you were describing it on a clock: does the link curve from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock covering through the 12 or through the 6 ?
This is the short pedal-to-throttle shaft link....The PO did install the throttle-to-tranny link wrong tho...

Does the throttle bellcrank swivel (gas peddle linkage) pin go through the bellcrank from the top to the bottom or vice versa? I. can't seem to find a picture of it in the manual
