I have a VIN plate from a 1940 Champion. I got it from a rusted hull in Ft Bragg California
in the early 1980's. The body was so rusted I could not tell it was a Studebaker until
I found the VIN plate.
The plate its self is in good condition.
The VIN is G806064.
What is this worth?
Thanks

I don't know if it's worth anything or not. If it turns out there is no buyer or market, I would ask Andy at the Studebaker Museum if they collect such items for posterity.

Welcome to the Forum.

Unless you have title to the car to go along with the serial number (S/N) plate, I can't see it being of much value to anyone. I guess there is a collector for everything. Put it on eBay with a 10 cent starting bid (plus your shipping cost - probably an envelope and stamp) and see what it brings.

It's not worth much, and I can tell you that it's a late 1940 Champion.

All vim plates are worth something , some more than others, if some one is in need of a 40 champion vin plate it is worth something and in California getting a title to match is not problem but does cost from $200.00-250.00 to get, been there done that and have a box of old vin plates.
