As a fun thing and to try to get more traffic on the great resource, Racing Studebakers, I'm having a contest. I'll present pictures over several days showing the construction of a performance part for my Hawk. You are welcome to guess as many times as you like. The first correct identification will win a pair of these. The winner will not be identified until the last pic has been up 24 hours. You must come to Racing Studebakers to see if you won and email or pm me to claim your prize. If I've spoken to you about this project please guess, but make it wrong and the more believable the better. Feel free to post this on other sites you visit as well.

The link to the contest is http://racingstudebakers.com/foo/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3052 . Please browse around and take a look at what the performance side of Studebaker is all about.

Not sure what the issue is for those in the States. For our Euro friends, Sonny has had to implement some security measures from being crashed by Russian hackers. There may be some problems with AOL as they do some strange things as an ISP and insert themselves as a go-between so that their users are not really connected to the internet, just AOL's version of it.

I'll accept guesses here for those who can't post at the Racing site, but for those that can set up accounts there, please do so. There is a wealth of Studebaker performance information there.

Did you know you can get CNC ported heads, roller rocker/lifter setups, roller cams, aluminum flywheels, scattersheilds, high performance clutches, fuel injection setups, super high output blower impellers and more for your Studebakers?

Did you know that on any given weekend Studebakers are being successfully raced at venues ranging from road races and 1/8 mile drags to 5 mile endurance events? All with Studebaker power.

Folks share the exact details of their setups down to the part numbers and vendors. They also share the things that didn't work so you don't have to make the same mistakes. The guy with the artsy Avanti actually explains why and why he came up with the design and how it is a tribute to the racing heritage of Studebaker racing. Come on over, browse around and check it out.

Sonny has had that forum hacked by eastern Eurpoeans and Asian hackers...
So bad that he has blocked some areas completely.
Can't blame him, because it takes hours to unscrew it after it gets messed up.
North America does OK... Australia/New Zealand has issues as well as parts of western Europe.

Contact Sonny... He might be able to help you out.

I can get on now, dont know if somebody changed something or what but I am doing a lot of reading over there now, ..... A LOT :-)

here is the link that I am using to get there. Might have to copy and paste it rather then just clicking the link. Let me know if it works

That link does the same to me as any.
While I'm in Holland nothing worx at all, just shows the same "HostCan l Error 403" as always but when I'm in Sweden it sometimes says "You're permanently banned from this site" but not every time - in Sweden I sometimes get in, but commenting or posting I can forget about & I've given that up long ago.
Thanx (& a BIG one too!) to Jeff I can still post stuff through him for my own project there thou.
& that keeps me happy for a while! :)

Jim, I guess I erased my reply, but I have registered, but not yet approved. Two guesses.. Moon hubcaps for a pedal car with two missing wheels (ha !) or caps for plugging oil breather holes in valve covers.
