Fuel System: Carburetor questions

I replaced the single bbl. carburetor on my 170 CID OHC six cylinder (Champ 8E5). Is there a line that runs from the distributor to the carburetor's right side to a fitting or tube sticking out the side of the carb? I put in a Petronix outfit if that makes a difference.

Of course there would have to be a Vacuum advance line from the Intake Manifold or Carb. base to the Distributor for the Vac. Advance to work, Electronic Ignition makes no difference, it merely replaces the Points and Condenser.
