I would like to replace the mismatched hubcaps on my 1950 Champion with the proper original hubcaps that would have come on this car. Can anyone post a picture or a link to the originals? I want to chase a set down, but I cant seem to confirm which are the correct ones. Thanks!

I answered my own question, I am getting good at this! I found a thread with a picture. The original moons with the lettering sure would be nice. Studebakerinternational has them for $300 a set. Its more than I want to spend, but I will have to see what's in the change jar.....

The small hubcaps used in 1951 and 1952 are basically the same except they do not have the champion lettering on them. They are a bit easier to find.

What Milt says is very true, they have the kind of "rolled edge" and domed center just a bit different than 1950, BUT they were used all the way to 1957, so should be quite a bit cheaper and easier to find.

There is at least one for sale on eBay right now and I see them pop up fairly often. Sometimes they are NOS and sometimes good used ones for a lot less money.

That's my hand in the photo you posted! Had those caps remanufactured about 15 years ago and sold most all. Then sold the tooling to Ed Reynolds at Studebaker International. I do have a few NOS caps and also a few seconds that I would sell. If interested send me a p.m.

That explains why Ed does not have any repops for the Commander.
