Just saw this. I know nothing other than what is here. Looks like a good deal, if it's real and not a clone. [No claims in the ad that it's a 56J, but maybe he doesn't know what he has?].

I see nothing to indicate it's not a '56J and a heckuva good deal at a BIN of $3500. The only caveat is it's in the midwest rust belt.

I looked up the VIN the seller listed and it is for a mocha & white 56J, sold new in Mishiwaka, IN. There must be a mistake some where, since that car looks to have been green & white originally.

Original tranny is hard to determine, and the original motor is long gone, unless someone swapped the Packard valve covers onto the one in the pic.

Looks like someone ran it with a floor shift for awhile, and also wore out the original shift collar, whatever it was.

The body exterior, and apparently fairly rust free interior are the best features the car has going for it.

That's a later model hood; I'd also question the single side view mirror placement & the antenna position as well.

Not for the beginner. It would be ok by me at 2500. if it was like 100 miles away. Without a personal inspection. cheers jimmijim
