    anybody got a 38 commander engine sidecover help

    I assume you are talking about the steel valve cover for the valve springs -- part # 186466 which fits 34 thru 38 and some 39? Bet there are others that have this closer to you but PM me if you can't come up with one locally. I would have thought it would interchange all the way to 1960 but I have 38 block with the cover if you need it.

      I'm guessing he needs the sheetmetal panel that goes between the hood and front fender.

      My friend has a spare set of panels for this car, but he's got plans to punch louvers in them to use them for summer driving. He didn't want to mess up the 1938 paint on the originals. Normally we just take them off when it's hot out, but that makes the car look kind of ratty.
