Looking for original Studebaker seatbelts

New or used. For the front seats of a '63 Avanti. I am looking for the buckles that have the inset gold label, not the decal on the repros. Preferrably looking for black or red belts.

Unless you can find those old buckles and sew them on to new webbing, safer to buy new.

Thanks Rockne. That is what I am envisioning to do anyway. Reuse the belt buckle but with newer webbing (belt)

I know I have a set of used 63-64 front seat red belts and an orphan maroon set, all from Larks. Avanti used the same part numbers. I have several other sets, but not sure of the colors, and I won't be able to check them till next week. Since you're going to replace the webbing anyway, I assume the color is only important as a color match. Drop me a line this weekend if you want me to check on what I have. lackie at erols dot com
