What is the difference between a Lark Regal Convertible and a Lark Daytona Convertible? Is there a quick way to determine the difference between a 259 and a 289 V8?

All Regal convertibles have a bench front seat. Almost all (except for a few early ones) Daytonas have bucket seats.

Daytonas are identified as such with a Daytona script on the brushed aluminum spear below the rear quarter windows. Regals have no such model identification.

The Engine Serial Number prefix is P on 289 engines; V on 259 engines. BP

First, the two different trim levels were for 1962 only. No other year had an 'L6' trim level. (Unless someone actually produces a fleet Regal trim level 1963, that is.)

A very quick way to tell is the color of the dashboard. A Daytona will have an imitation woodgrain finish on the painted areas where the Regal has the interior color & white on the painted areas.
