  • Electrical: Wipers have wigged out....

Just had the 62 Hawk out for a cruise on the Katy Frwy in Houston. Ok, it is a rapid cruise. The wipers have always parked down where they are supposed to. They just got a wild hair, and moved up into the field of vision. They will not park where they are supposed to. They now park pointing straight up. How do I fix this??

    Wiper innards

Worst case scenario would be that one of the parking tab contacts has broken off inside the gearcase...

When the switch is on and the cam passes this point the wiper continues another cycle. After the switch is turned off, the power continues to this point and then stops the wiper motor, parking the blades..
