  • AM/FM radio identification and other radios

I found this list of radio AC #'s and apparently I have a 1964 Avanti radio. Anyone else know the numbers to be right or wrong? I didn't know there were different AM/FM radios for Lark/Hawk/Avanti in the same year.

I would entertain a swap for a working correct color button Lark 1964 AM/FM radio. Were there 65,66 AM/FM radios and what model AC #?

I believe JDP posted that list on this forum on July 17, 2006 at 10:35:39am. His list goes back to 1958. Search title "Delco Radio ID's".
You can add AC-2748 for 56-57 Hawks.

            Here's my edit:
I just tried the Search and apparently it's an archived topic.
            Add:
            AC-2907 58 Stude, Packard WonderBar
            AC-2906 Stude, Packard PB
            AC-2905 58 Stude

Maybe Mr. Shaw can remind me how to access archived topics.

I think Studebaker had more "AC" numbers for radios than all other accessories combined.[:0]

Lexmale43, I'm sorry to tell you no one in their right mind will swap an original Studebaker AM/FM radio for an original AM radio no matter how nice it is. You might be able to swap something else, like a newly rechromed bumper or a really nice hawk fender or something equally valuable. A really nice AM radio from the 1960s is worth maybe 1/4th of an AM/FM radio in almost any condition.

Quite right Scott, but I am proposing to swap my Avanti AM/FM for a Lark AM/FM 1964. I apparently didn't make that clear enough in the previous post. Sorry for the confusion.
