  • 1959 Silver Hawk at Auctions America

Sold for a "bargain" $13,750 at Auctions America / Los Angeles:

Well, at least they said it was a bargain. Without wheel opening moldings, it may well still have the 170 six in it, so it might have sold for fair money, not a bargain.

    Anybody know the car? BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Their Auburn In auction will sell the first 1964 GT produced, it is an ermine white full package
R2 car. I inspectedted the car on my way to the Crossroads zone meet. I couldn't get a fridge magnet to stick on normal rust areas and the engine number did not match. Right door sagged and did not shut properly............ I'll pass on bidding. Will cross the block on August 29, $100.00 to bid and a 10% buyer premium.
    It is an addiction!
