  • Body / Glass: Photos of trunk opening rear panel C/K

I'm looking for a pic of what the trunk opening rear panel (this is the piece that is at the very back on the inside of the trunk.) I'm particularly interested in how the trunk floor meets with this area.

This had been replaced previously in my car ('53 C) and wasn't done properly, so I'd like to know what it is supposed to look like so we can get it put back together. Anyone care to pop their trunk and snap a pic for me?

I've tried to describe it as best as I could--but am willing to try again if this makes no sense.

    Thanks!

Thanks Rich, but I'm looking for a photo taken the opposite direction, from inside the trunk.

I went down and took some photos and came back to find Post #4, but maybe they will shed a little more light on your problem. This trunk floor and panel is original, not even restored.
The interior of the trunk is body color because the car was built in California.

I once was laughed at for buying a 39 Champion because the trunk was in real good shape so was the rest of the car but I oggled over the trunk compartment.

I have some of these rear panels for the Hawk trunks for sale $450.00
I mainly sell these to body shops for cars that were rear ended.

Actually, the rear panel was fine. I thought, because there is a seam running above the trunk floor, that it had been cut when the rear weatherstrip panel was replaced. The pictures were very helpful.
