  • Fuel System: 1964 Hawk w/ 289ci, 2bbl question

I am a new Hawk owner and mine has a 2BBL Stromberg WW carb on it. Did they originally come with Strombergs?

All I've ever seen with original 2-bbls had Stromberg. All the 4-bbls I've seen were Carter.

Yes, the correct Stromberg WW for a '64 would be the "Low Choke" Model 6-132. This is stamped INTO the Top Air Horn casting on top next to the Inlet Fitting hole.

      have the Correct Repair Kit.

And a few of them can also Rebuild it for you.

Re-machined 2 Brl. Intake Manifolds are available from some Forum Members here to accept a New Edelbrock AFB Clone 4 Barrel Carb. for improved running, Mileage and Performance.

Congrats on owning THE Most desirable and rare year model of GT Hawk and most other Hawks as well!
