    Hi guys,
    The white Daytona R2 that was mentioned a few posts down has engine number JTS J327. Can anyone give us info on this engine? Thanks.

    It's an R2 engine that was assembled on September 27th of 1963. If there were any other R2 engines built on that date, they'd have the same Eng#
    No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

      So are there any numbers that would indicate what car this came in?

        It was installed in a 1964 Studebaker Jet Thrust or "Super" equipped Lark Type or Hawk.
        It's "possible" Car Serial Numbers should be in the list some Members have of the R Series Cars.

          The engine belonged to a GT Hawk serial number 8624 not a package car but 4 speedgreen metallic in color
          It is an addiction!
