  • Sweet Baby James drives a Studebaker truck

The latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine has a great article on folk music singers. It includes a picture of the Taylor family - Livingston, Hugh, Kate, and James - in and around a Studebaker C-cab truck. Apparently, the truck belongs to James and may be based in western Massachusetts where he lives. He has a new CD out; sample it at www.jamestaylor.com.

Hard to tell for sure from the photo, but the big back window means a '55 to '59, so chances are good it's a "Transtar"![}]
