06-30-2014, 12:00 PM
Sounds like my trip to South Bend. Arrived at the Pancake house a couple of hours before it opened. Have a great trip!

06-30-2014, 12:15 PM
Jack, my Packard wagon.

06-30-2014, 03:26 PM
Driving our 51 commander in from northwest Indiana will be in tomorrow.

06-30-2014, 03:40 PM
Great news Chip! Bet you turned alota heads on the way!
Hope someday to have our Packard wagons together to a meet.

06-30-2014, 04:25 PM
I would really like that Bill!

06-30-2014, 06:03 PM
Chip, sounds like You're having a nice time and trouble free. is the wagon still minus SC ?

Jack, my Packard wagon.

06-30-2014, 07:54 PM
It is Joe. It would be cool to have it, but it seems like more trouble than it's worth.

07-01-2014, 07:52 AM
......I would bet that the ride in that wagon is about the best S-P ever put on the road. I do have a bias to the pre-war, but.....

07-01-2014, 08:25 AM
It does ride nice.

07-01-2014, 10:40 AM
Cool. I'm now two spaces away from your wagon. Great looking ride.

Thanks for posting these!

07-01-2014, 04:31 PM
Beautiful, just beautiful! Chip, you give inspiration to work more on my poor Packard.
As an aside and I'm not a nit-picker by any stretch. I have a extra trim piece for the fresh air vent if you need one.

07-01-2014, 07:03 PM
Not nick picking at all Bill. I have the piece, but since it doesn't fit quite correctly, I only put it on for shows.

07-01-2014, 07:52 PM
Cool! Sorta like some folks who only put the plastic tailgate emblem in for shows.:!:

07-02-2014, 05:43 AM
I thought I was the only one that had the tailgate emblem! :)

Thanks Stu!

07-02-2014, 11:43 AM
Chip, are you hiring an armed guard for the Tailgate Emblem? :D

07-02-2014, 12:02 PM
Maybe I should!

07-02-2014, 01:46 PM
I'm not there! Check me off the list of suspects!

I sold a nice used one of those '57 Clipper wagon plastic tail gate emblems to a SDC member about a year ago for $40. Saw it later on ebay, with the red and black background colors touched up, for about 15 times the price!

07-03-2014, 07:59 AM
Chip your emblem is beautiful! Mine, not so much. It's still intact with only a small bit of crazing. But, has lost most of the paint inside
I found a nice 58 emblem over to Hersey a few years ago, figured I use that untill a nice 57 shows up.
Like that's going to happen!

07-03-2014, 03:43 PM
Hello Chip,
Photos of your Packard on Studebaker Addicts!

07-03-2014, 04:19 PM
I saw them. I'm flattered!

07-03-2014, 06:17 PM
Chip, as has been that Wagon is really a nice sight all around.and look how fitting it is in the rear shot along side the Avanti II with it's curves.

Thanks for posting these!

Beautiful wagon.

I envy y'all who could make it to Dover. A lot of us are there in spirit, but not in the flesh :(

07-04-2014, 08:58 AM
Great to see and meet everyone at the meet. Got out before the storm hit.

07-04-2014, 03:10 PM
Just plain STUNNING, Chip! You have every reason to be proud of that cool car!

07-04-2014, 03:16 PM
Chip is a good salesman, sold me three RI t-shirts! now I gotta buy the 2015 shirts to complete the set. Hope to see Stu tonight, we've likely walked past each other without knowing.

07-04-2014, 10:32 PM
Thanks Bob, and thank you John for supporting the 2016 meet! It was great meeting you.

07-05-2014, 07:48 AM
Some Pictures..........

07-05-2014, 09:00 AM
Congratulations to Chip, as his wagon won an word last night, safe trip home mate, will see you in St.Louis. I commend your chapter for attending and being organised so far out from your meet, I noted your colleague was collecting information on what was good and went well, and what wasn't and didn't.

07-05-2014, 04:21 PM
Jane Ash is the chairperson for the 2016 International in Warwick RI. She is very much on the ball, taking notes from everyone she can, what works and what doesn't. Hopefully we can learn from everyone else's experience and put on a great show. The judges were kind to me and my wagon as I took home a first place in my division.

07-05-2014, 08:20 PM
Thanks Jack,
You folks who took pix, and share them here, help us less fortunates who can only sit here and wish we were there.
Thanks Again

Hi Chip,
So happy you received an award for your Packard!
Great job and well deserved!
Hope you had a safe trip back to Connecticut.

07-05-2014, 10:02 PM
I put about 600 miles round trip on the wagon, not a blip of trouble! :) :) :) :)
