Greg Cone just forwarded this to me. They look to be a great replacement for the original Halibrands......

Chris -

Silly comment as both are easilly fixable. Probably from the manufacturer.
But...of course I knew you were just "kidding".

Nice looking wheel, what size and offset do must find works well on a GT Hawk?

Some 17X7s would look great on an Avanti. It'd fill up those wheelwells.

just for kicks, I looked on several websites that sell those wheels. For a single 15x6 wheel, the cost was anywhere from $1286 list, to one place that had one for $480 discounted. That is for EACH wheel. That is also the cheapest size, anything bigger or smaller (!) is more. I really like the look, but I don't have a car that can afford that wheel cost.

What is the weight of various sizes of the two wheels shown? I've seen a lot of cast wheels from "overseas" the last 10 years or so that (though being pretty) would make better boat anchors. Just curious.

Probably less than twenty pounds.

I think these wheels would like nice on my Avanti!

I'd love to see what the 15" version of the offy looks like. I thought I read somewhere that you could order them with a traditional lip.
They list discount tire as a seller but the brand isn't on their site.http://us-mags.com/ They list a bonneville rim that looks like the rocket wheels. Site has errors when clicking on the wheels.
Cheapest place I've found so far. http://www.customwheelsdirect.com/wheel/model/5100/us-mags-wheels-offy-u412-polished-finish-vintage-rwd

Discount tire is very limited in their listings on the website. They only list two ATV tires to fit my Kubota RTV-900. I decided to drop in and ask them about what they offered. The local guy went to some other website on their computer and it had about any tire I had heard of on it. So I'd recommend if you want to get pricing and see what they have, drop in.

They gave me a better price installed then I could buy them on-line with shipping. In any case, how can you go wrong with an ATV tire called the "GRIM REAPER"

What is the point of a reproduction if the price is still way out of reach? Lots of people I know are searching for the true Halibrand offered on Studes (like in the first pic). Not @ over a grand a wheel though!!!
