High Dollar Shoes
Wouldn't a High Zoot Place like that, that caters to 1904 and up rare Classics; Duisenberg's, Cords, Packards etc. charge a LOT more than the going rate of about $50.00 an axle set for re-lined Shoes?
Kinda like going to Neiman Marcus or Macy's for an Aspirin! OR, a Hospital!StudeRich

$69 an axle and free shipping. Less expensive than Stude West and Stude International. Stude International doesn't even have them available at present. I wish I could find them at $50 per, searched everywhere for the last 6 months.

The Wagner PAB158D, which were listed as the rear set in Advance Auto Parts catalog as the rears were purchased on Ebay and were the wrong size. The fronts from the same catalog were wrong too as I called the Vendor for measurements before ordering. Kanter's email response had the correct measurements as to lining surface length AND the best price I could find.

There is a difference between 6 cylinder cars and V8's perhaps the Advanced Auto, and Ebay vendors don't know this? That's why it's wise to support the Stude vendors who will get you the right parts the first time without having extra shipping and return costs!!!!
All V8 car drum brakes from 54-66 were 11" x 2 1/4" front, and 10" x 2" rear. Diameter and width respectively.Bez Auto Alchemy

Yep that is what is going on, total ignorance. Those are likely too small because they are for the 6 Cyl. Cars with the 10 " Front and 9" Rear Drums.
Just like the Parts Stores will sell the 11 Inch Rear Drum Brake Shoes for Front Disc. Cars, for an All Drum Brake Car with 10" Rears or vice versa! ....WRONG!
You know that there "Were" aftermarket Parts Paper BOOKS that clearly spelled out the differences and correct Parts at these same Stores including NAPA, UNTIL the unknowing "Updated it", Computerized that same data incorrectly. Grrrr!Last edited by StudeRich; 06-22-2014, 01:29 PM.StudeRich
