I was very impressed with the reception we received from both the event organizers and the crowd at the fair. At the races they spoke of John M Studebaker with great reverence and told his story. Placerville regards him as a "Favorite Son" that made good and is proud of the connection between the town and Studebaker.

I would submit that this is the biggest event saluting Studebakers anywhere that is not put on by either SDC or the Studebaker Museum.
