  • RIP Leonard Shepherd

It is with regret that I am announcing that Leonard Shepherd passed away on May 29th. Many will remember Leonard for the wealth of knowledge that he shared with the forum over the years, especially in the form of pictures in his vast collection. He was a lifelong Studebaker enthusiast and a member of the Greater Virginia Chapter as well as the founder, past president and newsletter editor of the Central Virginia Chapter. He will continue to live on with us via his past posts as well as his '64 convertible and '52 Commander that are now in the hands of forum members. Below is a link to the obituary that appeared in the Richmond Times Dispatch.

This has also been posted in the Studebaker Passings section but given Leonard's contributions felt it was appropriate to post here as well.

Thanks Gary. I just got a voicemail from Preston with the news. Too bad we didn't know soon enough to have attended his funeral. Lots of fond memories.

I appreciated every contribution he made here. I wish I'd gotten to meet him. What a sweet, kind fellow he was, even in something as simple as an email.

RIP Leonard. Course, you're not gone so long as your friends recall and revel in knowing you!
