View Full Version : Parting out a 1960 Lark Two Door Wagon

This summer we will be parting out a 1960 Lark VI 2 Door Wagon. Its a typical Upper Midwest (Rust Belt) car, but it is nearly complete. If there is anything that you need please send me an email or private message and I'll get back to you. The engine does turn over, but there are teeth missing from the flywheel, probably the reason it was parked.

I can ship smaller parts without any issue and have had luck shipping larger items by Greyhound, FedEx and even the USPS before. I also have a 63 4 door Lark 6 cyl. parts car that is pretty well picked over and other Lark parts as well. As parts are sold I'll update the list below.

Parts Sold or Spoken For
Front bumper
Tailgate Stainless Trim
Heater Manifold
Heater Core Box
Heater Valve
Throttle Linkage
OD Cable
Front turn signals
Wiper Motor
Rear Side Windows

Thanks,
Nick

Big old rust hole in the middle of the battery tray. Your best bet is Studebaker International.

Nice Studemino donor mobile!

Someone was interested in doing just that, but unfortunately the body is probably too far gone.

Do you have the "heater manifold" that goes under the dash? This mounts up against the heater blower and distributes heat as well as providing connections for the defroster hoses. Thanks.

I just looked the part up in the manual. It is called the heater distribution duct and the part number is 1548278.

How is the Fiberglas box that holds the heater core on the inner front right fender? The one on my 60 convertible is broken.

Hello, 61 Lark,
I'm not looking to score for myself, as my project is a '59 two-door wagon, but I would guess that the quarter panel trim strips are scarce enough to save for someone. Anyway, best of luck...

Nick, I sent you a private message a month or so ago but it may not have gone through. I am wondering if you have a good starter that will fit a 1961 ohv 6 with a 3-speed tranny.
Thank you

That's a good point. I pulled the trim pretty early so it wouldn't be damaged working around the car.

Sorry Brent I didn't get the PM. The starter on the car works, but the ring gear on the flywheel is damaged. I'd have to pull it first to make sure the bendix isn't damaged. I'd also have to look up to see if the 60 flathead six starter works on the 61 OHV six.

Nick, I need the plastic instrument cluster grill for my 1959 Lark as my desert car's plastic broke into a hundred pieces after removing the instruments to polish rust off the bezel. My phone number: (520) 665-0297. Thanks, Nick....T.J.

I'll check, but I can't promise you anything. The same thing happened to me so I pieced it back together and glued it.

Thanks, Nick. I wish I could glue the pieces back together again but unfortunately some of it turned to dust! Well at least I know this has happened before. Here's hoping we get lucky. Thanks, again.....T.J.
