  • Rear bumper needed, 1949 Champion

A guy in Ky. sent me the trim and bumpers from his 1949 Champion to rechrome.
His back bumper is scrap. He wants to buy a replatable one, or one that's ready to bolt on. If you have one to sell, PM me with your phone number or email address and I'll have him get in touch with you.
I've never met the guy but today when I talked to him on the phone I immediately knew I liked him. I had called him to give him the prices for chroming the parts he had sent me. He said he couldn't write them down right then because he was in Harbor Freight with a buggy full of stuff and was still trying to fill his shopping list. The local HF store is only three miles from my house and I WAS almost a daily visitor there. But now they have new coupons for 20% off a total purchase of over $100. Now I only have to go about once a week. Saves on gas.
Hello, My name is Jerry and I'm a Harbor Freight Shop-a-holic. <G>

The 1949 bumpers are the same as the 1950 Champions?
I do not have my parts books handy.

And the 1951's I think. I think the 52's are also the same bar but have the holes for the guards in diff locations.

The 51-52 rear face bars are the same. The front face bar is different.

All 1949 Champions take the same rear bumper, regardless of body style (2 door, 4 door, 3 passenger coupe, 5 passenger coupe).
