  • In need of two hood torsion bar bolts for 64 Larks

I'm looking for two (2) excellent used or NOS hood bolts/studs for 1964 Larks. There is one on each side and they connect the hood torsion bar to the flange on the firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

I looked in the parts book and came up with:

        1338616, Bolt, shoulder to cowl, 5/16" -18 x 13/16"

This is in section 1620-69. Pretty sure this is it.

I appear to have a pair if the shoulder dia. is 7/16". I would have to remove one on my '64 to be certain, but it appears they are #1338616. I acquired them in the days when Sasco sold fasteners at $0.50/lb. Do you need them before Dover?

WCP, thanks for looking through your parts. The book says, "1338616, Bolt, shoulder to cowl, 5/16" -18 x 13/16". I guess this is the thread size and the overall length.

I just measured my torsion bar hole and it measures 0.45 inch diameter, slightly bigger than a 7/16 dia. shoulder. So, I think you have the correct part for me.

I am trying desperately to finish the 64 HT before Dover so obtaining these bolts ASAP would be desired.

Please check your PM. Thanks and much appreciated, Jeff
