After the body shell was painted we positioned the chassis underneath the body shell and lowered it onto the frame. The body shims were held in place like they were originally using masking tape. Once the quarter panels and doors are installed we will add shims as necessary to achieve good body gaps.

I really like that colour choice. The car should look really "sharp" when finished. Good luck.

Been around this marque long enough to remember when folks simply could not FATHOM putting this kind of effort into a 65-66 Studebaker! Inspiring - and I've always thought that particular shade of red was attractive.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

A side by side hoist like you used makes life good, doesn't it! That's how I did my frame swap on the 66 Daytona in the late 90s. Keep up the fine work.

I have to use a chain hoist and a come-a-long to raise and lower a body here.... not a lot of fun...

Ive done the same thing using two good size and very old air operated bumper jacks. The older generation will remember what those are!
