  • Got me a spare 52 hood.

I was wanting to get a hood for my 52 so I could shave the trim off and maybe have some louvers punched. Ken Voght offered me one for $25 if I could get it in South Bend. Thanks to Barry Hackney I was able to get my hood brought to within 50 miles of me and I picked it up. It was a good deal. Covered with surface rust, but no rust through or bent places.
I was embarrassed to find that the radiator I had offered to sell Barry turned out to be for a truck. I bought it some 30 years ago at an auction thinking it was for a Champion car. It is now back on the wall were it has been for decades.

At first I thought that was an old pic of Ed- I am due for a hair cut now that I am back home.
Those straps holding the hoods to my roof were torn off and wrapped around my rear axle near Ft Smith later that day when I blew yet another rt rear tire. A brake hose was also damaged. Thankfully, those hoods stayed in place until I could stop, & did not hit Pekka's sweet Wagonaire!
