  • New novel features a Studebaker pickup

I (and some others) received an email from the author of "On Ice", a novel that features a 1959 Studebaker pickup. Sorry Matthew, it's green! Looks interesting and probably is a fun read. Neither I nor the SDC endorse the book..just posting it here FYI. Anyway, here's what the author said in his email:

You can check out "On Ice", read an excerpt here on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/3538pl

That may be, but the truck in the book can not be a Transtar. It can be either a Scotsman or a Deluxe.

Okay Gary, you are technically correct[xx(], but, all '59 Deluxe Trucks are "Transtars" at heart[}].
