During my daily rounds of car lots, shops and garages I came upon a black 53 Champion that is all there except for a cracked driver's door window and for a needed rechroming of the grille. Powered by a 350 Chevy engine, this car starts, runs very well, and stops. It is ready to go. This car is on a consignment lot with an ambitious sticker of $12,000. I talked with the lot owner, an acquaintance of some time, and suggested that I find a home for the car, a home it deserves. He agreed and so I hereby offer the vehicle for way less than the asking price: for $8500.
