  • Russian Avanti?

Some guy built an Avanti from 2 motorcycles?

I hope he shows up with that at The Pacific Southwest Zone Meet in Sacramento California, May 16-18, 2014. We will have a special place for it to be displayed!

Cool. The Russians have appreciated Studebakers since they hauled Stalin's organs in WWII.

Looks like a early Lincoln Continental try-out...

Raymond Loewy took a picture of this vehicle many many years ago in Russia. It was in Avanti Magazine.

I think the front has much closer resemblance to this Lowey creation: http://www.carpictures.com/vehicle/0...-Concept-1959#

Ole Ray had an eye for style but he couldn't design by himself to save his life! That Caddy & the BMW of that time are proof. His success was having a great group around him as in the case of the Avanti, the 4 he had picked came up with a beauty, with his guidance but their input.
