          I'd say that's obvious.

I woulda thought it had a 343 or maybe a 401, Warren! Didn't they build these in Canada?

Turns out a friend of mine posts regularly on that forum, and he knows the modeler. Apparently, he's a Chevy guy - and we should forgive him. Of course, I said AIN'T NO WAY! It's an abomination to StudeFolk, ya know?

Shall I register on the forum, and slap him down?

Chris - people NEED their fantasies. Otherwise, this forum would be severely less than it is.

Fantasy is a good thing, yes.

In this guy's case - it's ignorance, not a fantasy.

I've already registered, and am contemplating a post in reply to him.

I assume this began as one the many 1/63 die casts out there. They all say Studebaker on them. So wny this ?!!?

Id be curious to know how the builder reacts when he finds out it isn't an AMC. If it was me, I'd have to build another one and paint it "right"!

My first thought was that someone mistook it for a Jeep pickup since AMC did have Jeep at one time.

It really does with the nice bed and those colors. Maybe he thought it was a Rambler....I had a guy look at my Champ one time and exclaim that he, "didn't know that Rambler made trucks."
